The Shore Acres Club, established in 1934, is the center of our community encouraging a way of life with values and pride. Our goal is to supply a safe environment where family, friends and neighbors are active members of the community. We believe that helping those in need, looking out for one another, volunteering and supplying children with a supervised environment, filled with activities and experiences, helps build character and bonds that last a lifetime. Shore Acres is not just a place, it is a piece of who we are, it’s a Family.
Once referred to as the “Venice of the Jersey Shore,” the waterfront neighborhood of Shore Acres was originally planned as summer community of one-story cottages, built on man-made lagoons that were carved out of the marshland.
Development of the original area of Shore Acres –- the west side of Drum Point Road from Bayview Drive to Ward Drive –- began in the 1930’s. Later, a second area was developed, called the “Colonial” section, which included the area between Ward Drive and Paul Jones Drive.
The final section to be developed on more man-made lagoons was on the east side of Drum Point Road, and behind them, a section of homes was built on Long Point Drive and the Cedar Island Drive area, both located off Mandalay Road.

Members of the Shore Acres Community, in Brick, NJ, were devastated by Hurricane Sandy. As a community, everyone has pulled together to rebuild and we are stronger and more unified than ever. Shore Acres Families are the definition of “STRONGER THAN THE STORM.”
